At **Sips** ("Liquid Log"), we believe that your data belongs to you. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

## 2. Information We Do Not Collect

- **No Personal Identifiable Information (PII):** We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information unless you explicitly provide it for support purposes.
- **No Third-Party Analytics:** We do not use third-party analytics tools (like Google Analytics or Firebase) to track your behavior within the app.
- **No Advertising:** We do not display ads or share your data with advertising networks.

## 3. Data Storage and Sync

- **Local Storage:** All your drink logs, preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data and SwiftData frameworks.
- **iCloud Sync:** To enable seamless synchronization across your devices, Sips uses Apple's **CloudKit** service. Your data is stored in your private iCloud container, which is encrypted and accessible only by you. We (the developers) do not have access to your iCloud data.
- **Data Deletion:** You can delete your data at any time directly within the App. Uninstalling the App will remove local data, but data stored in iCloud may persist until you manually delete it via iCloud settings.

## 4. Permissions

To provide specific features, Sips may request access to certain device capabilities:

- **Camera:** Used only to take photos of your drinks for your personal log. These photos are stored locally and in your private iCloud container. We do not upload them to any other servers.
- **Location:** Used only to tag the location where you consumed a drink. This location data is stored with your drink record and is not shared with anyone.
- **Photo Library:** Used to save shareable images of your drink stats or logs. We only access the photos you select or save.
- **Notifications:** Used to send reminders to hydrate. All notification scheduling happens locally on your device.

## 5. In-App Purchases

Sips uses **RevenueCat** to manage in-app purchases and subscription status.
- **What is shared:** An anonymous app user ID and purchase receipt data.
- **Purpose:** To verify your "Sips Pro" status and unlock premium features.
- **Privacy:** RevenueCat does not receive your personal drink data or PII.

## 6. Children's Privacy

Sips is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
